World Summit of Local Authorities 2010, Mexico DF


More than two thousand Mayors of the world met in November, 2010 in Mexico City to debate and to define policies to face the economic and climatic change, as for transport or human rights, with a view to defining the course of the cities about the year 2030.


Within this framework, 100 Cities for the Peace realized an ecumenical act for the Peace and Unit in Guadalupe's Basilica, with the inauguration of the Sacred Oratory Ecumenicon, composed by the Russian maestro Yuri Chugúyev. In the event attended almost 6.000 persons, among which the representatives of more than 60 countries, with their corresponding consuls of civil, political and religious institutions, all with a renewed sense of unit.
